Jhirna zone is one of the most visited area of the Corbett national park alongside Bijrani and Dhikala zones. Here accommodation option is also available for tourists visiting the park at Jhirna forest rest house. This FRH is around 20 KMs from the Ramnagar town and it takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach here. Jhirna remains open for tourists throughout the year for day safaris, however, no safari is permitted on rainy days.

Here night stay booking in Jhirna FRH is available from 15th November to 14th June every year for tourists. There are total 2 rooms at Jhirna FRH and extra bed facility is also available on request.
Forest department has covered the complete area by fence and a large ground is a part of the campus from where animals movement can be witnessed throughout the day.
Kitchen facility is available and cost for meals is pocket friendly. Hot water facility is available and electricity is provided in the evening as it depends on the solar power.

How and when to make a booking at Jhirna forest rest house
Thus, availability here is always a challenge as, it is always on high demand, however, one should always plan 30 to 45 days before to make a reservation here.
You can stay maximum of 3 nights here. Similarly, same rule is applicable for other forest lodges inside the Jim Corbett national park. Once you make a night stay booking, you do not have to opt for additional safari permit. In other words, safari permit is a part of the night accommodation but gypsy will be additionally required to enter the forest area.
Forest department does not allow any private vehicle to enter the Jungle area and only the gypsies can take you to the forest house.
